Accessibility Policy

1. Introduction

Comtech Solutions Limited know as “Comtech”, a leading provider of compliance tools and is a registered Limited company with the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) under registration number 131521. We are committed to ensuring that its products and services, including CookieScan and YourDataSafe, are accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. This policy outlines Comtech’s approach to accessibility and its adherence to the relevant laws and standards applicable in Jersey, including the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all digital platforms, websites, and SaaS products developed and marketed by Comtech, including CookieScan and YourDataSafe.

3. Accessibility Commitment

Comtech is dedicated to ensuring its products comply with internationally recognised accessibility standards, particularly the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Comtech regularly reviews and updates its platforms to address evolving accessibility standards and best practices. Accessibility considerations are integrated into the design, development, and testing phases of all products and services. Staff receive training to understand and implement accessibility principles in their work. Users are encouraged to follow the browser-specific instructions outlined in Appendix One to optimise their experience with Comtech’s platforms.

4. Legal Framework

Comtech acknowledges its obligations under Jersey law, including the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, which ensures that personal data collected through accessible platforms is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently, particularly for users with disabilities. The Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013 obliges the company to eliminate discrimination against individuals with disabilities and to provide equal access to goods and services. The Electronic Communications (Jersey) Law 2000 supports the accessibility of electronic communications to enhance usability and inclusion.

5. Features of Accessibility

Comtech ensures that CookieScan and YourDataSafe incorporate features that support accessibility. These features include keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, adjustable text size and contrast, captions or transcripts for multimedia content, and clear, straightforward content. Users can further enhance their accessibility experience by referring to the detailed browser instructions in Appendix One.

6. Monitoring and Feedback

Comtech actively monitors accessibility compliance through regular audits of CookieScan, YourDataSafe, and associated platforms. The company engages external accessibility experts where necessary to validate compliance. Feedback from users on accessibility issues is welcomed, and solutions are implemented promptly. Users are encouraged to follow the browser-specific instructions in Appendix One to address immediate concerns before contacting support. Feedback can be sent to

7. Complaints and Disputes

In the event of a dispute or complaint related to accessibility, Comtech will respond promptly to resolve the issue. If a resolution cannot be achieved, the matter will be referred to the Royal Court of Jersey in accordance with Jersey law.

8. Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually or as necessary to reflect changes in accessibility standards, legislation, or operational practices.
